Wearers
Adding Wearers
Wearers are automatically added to Historion when their details are first imported with a new Dose Report containing Dose Readings. The term Wearer means that the individual “wears” a Dosimeter or “badge” for monitoring their exposure to radiation. Typically the reason a Wearer is added to Historion at all is to observe and collate their Dose Readings.
There are other use circumstances however and data pre-loading or migration scenarios where an RSO might elect to add Wearers manually. Wearers may also be added in bulk, outside of the Dose Report import process, using the Wearer Data Import Utility. Adding a single Wearer, manually, is described here and is done via the Add button at the lower right corner of the Wearer Search Utility;

The Wearer Details page is loaded in Add Mode. An initial Wearer No. is calculated by Historion for the new Wearer. Custom Wearer Numbers can be added after saving the new Wearer record,

When adding new Wearers to Historion manually using the Wearer Details page in add mode, it is important to ensure the following;
Consider using the Wearer Data Import Utility even for one Wearer. It is a very convenient and easy to use data entry tool.
Make sure the Wearer doesn’t already exist before adding using the Wearer Search Utility first
Enter as many details in as many tabs as possible (data is more valuable when it is complete)
Select Save at the end of the new record addition process once data is complete as possible.
At a minimum ensure that the following fields are completed when adding a new Wearer manually;
Futures:
In the future a Wearer log will be created to track data add and change events.
