Dosimetry Data
Dose Reading Classification
Dose Readings are classified automatically as they are imported, in accordance with any active Dose Application Rules applicable, which are defined in System Settings for Historion’s Dose Applications.
Sometimes a Dose Reading Classification will need to be set manually. This may be required when a Dose Reading has been detected as a Duplicate Reading or an Overlapping Reading.
In some scenarios a Dose Reading may be is unique in its coding from the Dosimetry Provider and typical Classification values are not set automatically. Some Dose Readings, such as for equipment, may be of a one-off purpose or monitoring objective where manual Classification may be desirable.
To Classify as Dose Reading open its Dose Reading details tab and click the Classify Reading link.

Dose Application Rules
The Classification of a Dose Reading is based on selection of a Dose Application Rule. The Dose Application Rule selection achieves two objectives at the same time; selection of the Dose Application (Reading Purpose) most relevant and selecting a Rule qualifies the origin of the Dose Reading data.
Dose Application Rules can be set for Managed Selection which means that they are only available for selection in the Classification page above and are not automatically detected during Dose Import.
Classification by Dose Application rule allows Dose Readings to be grouped and, importantly, for them to be reported and aggregated as a set without changing original Dose Reports or Dose Readings and it allows reporting across Dose Readings from different, disparate Dose Report Provider formats.
